“ Die Richter
Die Richter is the response to a Kafkaesque bureaucratical maze. A maze created by administratory giants with the goal of confusing to exhaustion whoever tries to solve the exit-less labyrinth.
The giants feed on fear and paperwork, and know well how to dilate time by creating pointless quests for signatures and certificates.
Die Richter’s body consists of these very words and the picture next to it, a documentation of Colossus invertebrate. A version of the sculpture was going to be presented for the Rundgang 2023 but it got lost in the kafkaesque maze of an inaccessible authority.
Both rules and this artwork exist from situational perspectives. Authority is based on arbitrary words and in that same way Die Richter exists precisely because of this text.”
